There are a number of groups in the church meeting during the week. All of these welcome newcomers. For more details about any of them telephone the Church Office on 01202 684745.
Yoyo's Our weekly club night for children aged 8 – 12 years meets on Thursdays in school term time from 6.15pm to 7.30pm. The activities include games, craftwork, cookery and trips out in the summer months. A short quiet time looking at things that affect children using bible stories is part of each evening. All our staff are Criminal Record Bureau checked and suitably trained and supervised.
Cuppa n Chat Each Wednesday morning in term time a group of ladies from the church meet in each other’s homes at 10.30am for a cuppa and a chat. Sometimes it is just a chance to catch up with what is going on in each other’s lives and sometimes we spend time in bible study and prayer. Those with pre-school children are welcome to bring them along too. This is a great way of getting to know new people.
Ladies Contact Group On Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm a friendly group of ladies meet in the Church Lounge. Their programme includes secular and spiritual speakers and some evenings of a more social type. Each evening includes a time of worship and an epilogue. All ages are welcome and particularly those who work during the daytime.
Man to Man Once a month on a Friday evening men from the church meet to enjoy each other’s company and a variety of activities. They welcome men who don’t attend the church to join them. Contact us for details about their activities and venues.
Sunday School & Youth Group Each Sunday at the same time as the morning service the children and young people have their own time of learning and activities based on bible teaching. All our staff are Criminal Record Bureau checked and suitably trained and supervised. One Sunday each month the whole church family worships together in a Family Service usually on the second Sunday. A crèche space is available for restless young children at those services.
Toddler Group Our toddler group meets at the church each Thursday from 9.45am until around 11.45am. Activities include craftwork, playdough, puzzles, a playhouse and many more toys and games. After drinks and biscuits a more active time using sit and rides, trampoline and slide follows. The morning is concluded with singing and musical instruments.
Lunch Club Each Friday there is a lunch club on our premises for those who live alone and would like to spend some time enjoying a meal together and each others company. A two-course meal is provided by Poole Social Services and a charge is made for the cost of these. A team of volunteers some of whom are members of our church serves the food. But the lunch club is more than just a meal it is the friendship and company and all who come along are given a warm welcome.
Young People’s Group (C.D’s) Our young people have a programme of weeknight recreational activities on Thursday evenings and meeting with other Christian young people in Poole for worship events with a youth style on some Sunday evenings. They would be pleased to welcome any young people to join them.
